Drainage Design

Home > Drainage Design > Overview

The majority of developments have drainage problems. The solutions may influence the development.

We work with architects, developers, individuals and consulting engineers to design new schemes, solve problems and obtain statutory consents and approvals for foul, surface water and highway drainage.

Sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) are required for new developments.

There are many options. The first stage is to assess the disposal method and discharge volume. Then attenuation or storage can be assessed.

We have a good record of co-operation with the regulatory authorities including the Environment Agency, Sewerage Operator, Highway Authority, Planning Authority and Building Control.

For a fixed fee, we will investigate and advise on the most appropriate drainage solutions and provide a written Preliminary Drainage Assessment report, which should demonstrate to the Planning Authority that the site drainage can be adequately dealt with.

For a ceiling fee quotation we will carry out the detailed design and provide adoption details and drawings to the required standards, eg. Sewers for Adoption 6th Edition.
