rainwater harvesting - supplier selection

Flood Risk

Supplier Selection

Given the vital task of sourcing the appropriate equipment and then finding an installer yourself, there is a risk of making mistakes and therefore wasting money and time.

If the design is not given sufficient thought, you can easily end up with a system that fails to work well or worse, a system that does not work at all. This is often a result of unfamiliarity, inexperience or lack of attention to detail.

We recognise that there are a number of different RWH systems on the market, each having their particular suitability for the development in question.

Whether they are gravity fed, pressurised or a combination of both, rainwater harvesting systems have multiple components and several additional extras. It is important to be aware of comparing apples with oranges.

Quote range is another variable to deal with when selecting RWH systems, an example being quotes for our office premises, which came back between £4000 and £13000.

Waterco provides impartial advice and comparison of RWH system solutions for different budgets, for a variety of commercial applications.

These types of premises generally have a greater demand for non-potable water. Also, they tend to have large roof areas, allowing them to recoup large volumes of water and therefore deliver substantial savings.

Our 3 Stage RWH consultation process consists of:

  • A Screening Study, involving a questionnaire to determine the main requirements of the system.

  • An Assessment Study, providing you with a range of ideal solutions from various suppliers to suit your budget.

  • Project Management and Completion, in which we manage the sourcing and installation of the chosen RWH system.
